An exhibition space from the Collections and Archives: at extract, we provide you with a curated insight into the comprehensive Collections and Archives of ETH Zurich.
What do the University Archives have in common with the Entomological Collection and the United Herbaria? They all contain objects and documents that provide possible answers to a common, urgent question: what should we do about the loss of biodiversity? The idea behind extract is a single room that brings together the many collections and archives of ETH Zurich in order to illuminate major issues and themes. A distillation of the contents of the Collections and Archives – in short: an extract.
In extract, the focus is not on any individual collection or archive, but on interdisciplinary topics that transcend the boundaries of the respective archive and which are socially relevant. The exhibitions and the accompanying events programme provide you with a showcase of the different fields of research at ETH Zurich and help increase their visibility.
extract brings you a compact exploration of major topics relating to the interplay between society and the research conducted at ETH Zurich, as well as providing food for thought. It can be accessed for free at any time during opening hours.
